Types of bathroom projects.

  • Full gut remodel — down to studs, layout changes allowed
  • Cosmetic refresh — keep layout, new vanity/tile/fixtures
  • Tub-to-shower conversion — walk-in, curbless, or low-threshold
  • Primary suite expansion — steal from adjacent closet or bedroom
  • Aging-in-place — grab bars, curbless showers, bench seating, ADA-width doorways

Showers done right.

Every shower we build uses Schluter Kerdi membrane, Kerdi-drain, and Kerdi-board — or a RedGard liquid-membrane equivalent. Pre-pitched pan, linear drain or center drain, and water-tested for 24 hours before tile. That detailing is what keeps a shower watertight over the long term.

Heated floors, fans & trim.

Schluter DITRA-HEAT electric radiant for warm floors. Proper Panasonic WhisperGreen exhaust fans (not builder-grade) with humidity sensors. Moisture-resistant drywall, solid-wood vanities, LED-lit mirrors, and plumbing fixtures from Kohler, Delta, Grohe, Moen, or your designer's spec.

Frequently asked about bathroom remodeling

Full gut remodels take 3–5 weeks start-to-finish — about 2.5 weeks with no bathroom if it's your only one. If you have another bath in the house, less of a problem.
For aging-in-place and modern design, yes. They need a pre-slope, a drop-in pan or Schluter tray, and a linear drain at the wall — more waterproofing detail and more labor than a curbed shower, so it adds to the scope of the job, but it looks and functions beautifully. Call (631) 983-8079 and we'll put together a free written quote for your bathroom.
Yes, within plumbing limits. Long Island homes are usually on slab or over crawlspace — slabs require breaking concrete (adds cost), crawlspaces are easy. We'll tell you what's practical before quoting.
On every shower. Kerdi membrane, Kerdi-drain, Ditra underlayment, and Schluter profiles at every transition. We're trained installers — ask for our certification on your estimate.
