How custom is different from stock.

Stock cabinets come in 3" increments and rarely fit a real Long Island house. Custom means every box is sized to your wall, full-depth drawers go all the way back, and toe kicks scribe to uneven floors. Nothing gets boxed out with filler strips, so you actually use every inch of the room.

What drives the price of a cabinet job.

There is no list price for custom cabinetry, because no two Long Island kitchens are the same. What moves the number is the run length and how many boxes it takes to cover it, whether you want framed or frameless, full-overlay or inset doors (inset takes far more shop time to fit), the species and grade of wood, the finish — a shop-sprayed conversion varnish is a different job than a stain — and the hardware and interior fittings you choose. Then there's the house itself: out-of-square walls, plaster that has to come off, an old soffit to demo, or moving a sink or a range so the layout finally makes sense. Countertops, backsplash, and electrical work are usually part of the same conversation.

That's why we price every project individually instead of quoting a per-foot figure over the phone. We'll come out, measure the space, look at what's behind the existing cabinets, and put a full written quote in your hands — itemized, no obligation. Frequently asked about custom cabinets

Custom cabinetry is priced per project rather than off a price list. Run length, framed vs. frameless construction, inset vs. full-overlay doors, wood species, finish, hardware, and the condition of the walls behind the old cabinets all move the number. We measure on site and email a written, itemized quote within 24–48 hours at no charge. Call (631) 983-8079 to set one up.
