Installation method matters.
Insert installation (keeps old frame, new sash goes inside) is faster and cheaper but loses 1–2" of glass. Full-frame replacement gives you back that glass and lets us inspect the rough opening and re-flash properly. We'll recommend which makes sense for your windows.
What drives the cost of a window job.
There's no flat rate for a window, because no two openings are the same. What moves the number is the brand and line you choose, the glass package, whether we're doing inserts or full-frame, the number of stories and how we have to reach the openings, whether the sills and framing underneath are sound or rotted, custom sizes and shapes, interior and exterior trim work, and whether the town requires a permit.
